Letter of Appreciation

Dear Randy: This letter is long overdue, but I want to take this opportunity to again thank you for all the help and services you provided throughout 2003 for the City of Wichita through our Community Education Division. You added such a wonderful component to our after school and summer programming through your piano lessons for youth and adults, and the wonderfully creative Hip-hop camp sessions you presented during our Summer 2003 programming. Many of the youth and families we serve at the Atwater Neighborhood City Hall have little or no access to fine arts and creative arts programming. Surely, the many requests you received for spaces in your free piano classes is an indication of that! Your patience, knowledge, skills and willingness to give so much of yourself has greatly benefited this community. Many of your former students have continued their lessons with other teachers, based on the foundation you provided for them. The Hip-hop camp was another example of your creativity and eagerness to reach our at-risk youth population. The youth involved learned so much during the week long workshop, not only about the music business, music creation, but about professional development and career planning. The information and guidance you provided will provide a strong foundation for them as they engage in whatever endeavors they choose for their lives. Again, Randy, thank you so much for your willingness to share your knowledge, skills and enthusiasm about the music business through our community. The City of Wichita so appreciates your civic responsiveness and community service. If there is ever any way we can be of assistance to you in the future, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
